Why should I use Managed Services instead of calling when there is a problem?

Our Services provide the routine maintenance, data protection, and live support you and your employees need. Our maintenance cleans up your machines and installs updates to keep your systems running at peak performance. Many people change their own oil in their car, most go to a garage. Many people hire landscapers to care for their lawns and garden instead of performing the work themselves. We take care of the maintenance most people don't even think about. If you lawn grows too much or you don't change your cars oil right at 3000 miles, nothing will really happen. If you don't maintain your Computer, you could lose very valuable Data! Responding to a problem after it has occurred can be very expensive if a drive has failed, and there are no guarantees of full Data recovery.

What are the advantages of offsite Data backup?

Automation and separation of the Data are the key advantages of our off-site backup solution. We install a backup client on one of your Computers, data is collected locally and from other networked Computers if you desire. The data is encrypted and transmitted to our Servers using your Internet connection over night. Storing your data off site is the separation, should someone steal all of your computers or they are damaged by weather, your data is safely stored elsewhere.

What is imaging?

In addition to backing up your data off site we can also create 'bare metal' restorable images of your Computers and store those images off site as well. Imaging creates a carbon copy of your systems. Should a theft, drive failure, or catastrophic loss occur the image can be restored to brand new hardware? The new hardware will start up with the exact same setup, programs, settings, and configuration as the old Computer. In addition, we can run your old image as a Virtual Machine. You can sit down at this Virtual Machine and use it as a temporary Workstation until the new Machine is in place.

How will I know when there have been problems?

We will provide you with monthly reports that list tickets that were created and resolved by the Support Desk, tickets and issues resolved by the Help Desk, and you will receive daily log files of data that has been backed up. During our monthly report delivery we will swap out the remote drives storing your images to maintain an offsite set of images.

What about Viruses and Spyware?

We will provide your Desktops and Servers with Antivirus and Spyware protection; we will run weekly scans using both programs to check for infections.

When should I upgrade my software or computers?

We spend much of our day reading about new programs and versions of programs. Hardware changes constantly as well. If you feel your existing software or hardware is insufficient or you have heard of something better, we will be happy to present comparisons for you and outline the differences. Just because a computer is a couple years old, there isn't necessarily a reason to get rid of it. Often you can simply upgrade its components for hundreds less than a new computer and extend the life of that machine for a few more years.
